…or are the comments I get for my Blog totally bogus? I’m new to blogging and the only reason I do it is to try to increase the number of hits on my website.  Really don’t know if it makes any difference but my web guy says the more “hits” I get, the more quikly my website will move up.  I’ll keep doin’ it until I’m convinced it’s a total waste of time.

That said, here’s the latest on the Tahoe-Truckee real estate market.  Because of short-sales and REOs, sales are up substantially and prices are down.  “All cash” buyers seem to be able negotiate particularly good deals.  For those who must use financing, interest rates are still extraordinarily low.  If you are considering purchasing real estate and need to make use of conventional financing, the best “play” is to work with a lender BEFORE pursuing a purchase.  Though not a guarantee, a “pre-approval” letter from a REPUTABLE LENDER carries alot of weight.  The offer is still conditioned upon the Buyer’s ability to qualify but if you’ve done your homework in advance, the borrowing process is dramatically simplified.
