WHAT’S SO GREAT ABOUT TAHOE?
I moved to Tahoe after college (1972) with a bunch of buddies from school. Had a chance to get a job in the Bay Area to make some real money but quickly decided quality of life trumped making big bucks. Sure, there have been times when making a living up here hasn’t been easy. But there’s something about going to work WITHOUT A TIE and with my dog (Otis) sleeping next to my desk. I can break away from the office and go for a run or ride on single track trails that people travel from all over the world to experience…and it’s right out my door. Communting to work and looking at the lake and the snow-capped Sierra beats the heck out of being stuck in traffic in a metroplitan area. Year ’round Tahoe residents tend to be educated with recrational mind-sets. The sense of community in the North Tahoe area is unsurpassed.
All in all, Tahoe is a great place to visit and an even greater place to live. Real estate prices today are similar to 2003. In fact, the median sale price for a single family home between North Shore Stateline and the Rubicon area is now about $445,000…a far cry from the 2006 “peak” of $766,000.
So, if you’ve been considering purchasing a vacation retreat or moving to Tahoe as a full time resident, now’s the time. I specialize in the following areas: Brockway, Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Agate Bay, Carnelian Bay, Cedar Flat, Dollar Point, Lake Forest, Tahoe City, Sunnyside, Tahoe Park, Pineland, Timberland, Homewood, Tahoma, Tahoe Cedars, Meeks Bay, Rubicon, Truckee River corridor, Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, Truckee, Tahoe Donner, Old Greenwood, Grey’s Crossing, Martis Camp, and Northstar.
